Here are my reactions to today’s article about pesticide exposure on ToM:
13 treated for overexposure to pesticides in 5 years
1. Cases of exposure do not specify whether origin of exposure happened on a farm (farmers are the first users of pesticides during application, or a citizen who felt ill after exposure to something.
2. I do not have in hand the data that ToM has in hand. As soon as I have it I’ll be able to comment on facts.
3. Once again, the article is misleading. If a person felt ill because the food was contaminated, it does not specify if the food was produced locally or imported.
4. Scaremongering works for newspapers but it does not help us to solve the problems.
