Malta is blessed with a range of summer fruits and their season is kicking in. Several farmers are at the moment harvesting some delicious apricots. Other stone fruits such as plums, peaches and nectarines will be following soon.
The Ta’ Bona family will be having some pesticide-free apricots available on their stand tomorrow at the Farmer’s Market in Ta’ Qali.
Always ask your grower about seasonal products available. Seasonal fruits are fresher, tastier, higher in nutritional value, and more environmentally friendly.
Notwithstanding all the negative promotion local producers seem to be getting through conventional media, there is no better way than buying directly from farmers!
